Laura Clubb Biography

Laura Clubb In today’s world, so-called scam artists are more sophisticated than ever and gone is the old notion that the only people who fall prey to consumer fraud are the infirm or naive.  Now, more than ever, it’s critical that consumers feel empowered to stand up for themselves and fight back when they’ve been victimized.  At The Clubb Law Firm, we’re ready to help you fight for your rights.

Laura has devoted her professional career to helping consumers recover restitution and to stopping unlawful conduct.  If you think you’ve been ripped off in a consumer transaction, call Laura and she can discuss your situation and how The Clubb Law Firm, LLC may be able to help you.
During Laura's nine years as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Missouri, she spent two years as counsel to a number of state licensing boards, including the Board of Healing Arts, Board of Nursing, Board of Nursing Home Administrators, and others.  She prosecuted licensees and advised the boards on enforcement of their practice acts, which puts her in a perfect position to represent professionals in licensure actions.  After counseling the state Boards, shespent the next seven years as Manager of the Missouri Consumer Complaint Unit and as the Chief Counsel of the Missouri Consumer Protection Division.

In her role as Chief Counsel of that Division, Laura oversaw the investigation and litigation of hundreds of consumer protection cases.  During her tenure, the Consumer Division set records for recovering restitution for consumers through both mediation and litigation, including million settlements with Ford Motor Company and The Consumers Trust rebate scam.  Now in private practice, Laura is putting her extensive experience and knowledge of consumer protection law to work for you.

Laura grew up in Marshfield in the beautiful Ozarks of Southwest Missouri.  She earned my undergraduate degree in English from Southwest Missouri State University in 1993, and her Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law in 1998.  While in law school, Laura served as Editor-in-Chief of the Missouri Environmental Law and Policy Review and she was awarded the Thomas E.  Deacy, Jr. Prize for outstanding work in Trial Advocacy.

In 2007, Laura and her husband J.P. moved to Cape Girardeau with our three children to be closer to family.  We founded The Clubb Law Firm to serve our community and stand up for consumers in the region.
